As a public corporation NestCorporation is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Work and Pensions but is generally independent of government in its day-to-day decisions.

Who runs Nest?

NestCorporation is the Trustee of Nest. It was established by legislation to run the Nestpension scheme, and reports to Parliament through the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

How Nestis run

Nestis a workplace pension scheme, run as a trust by NestCorporation. This means that there are no shareholders or owners. We run the scheme in the interests of our members.

We regularly publish information and issue press releases to tell people about developments in the Nestscheme, and increase understanding of the new pensions environment.
