Fall Charcuterie Board Recipe
The home front is where we often have Friday night cheese boards for friends or out of town company! Recently we made a Fall Charcuterie Board Recipe together, and it was a blast!
How to make an epic charctuerie board
Cheese boards are easy, the creativity is up to you (and what’s stocked in your pantry and fridge), and of course, use what’s in season!
We’ve really been enjoying Roth Cheese, and today the main cheese that we love is Grand Cru.
Roth Cheese (made in Wisconsin with milk from local family farms), is available nationwide. It’s made with good ingredients, and is so tasty good!
Ingredients for a fall charcuterie
- Figs, red grapes, apples, pears, berries, plumcot (or stoned fruit)
- Roth Cheese (Grand Cru, Buttermilk Blue, Smoked Gouda)
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
- Dark chocolate covered pretzels, cocoa truffles, dark chocolate bar, dark chocolate covered almonds
- Baguette
- Oat rosemary raisin crackers, rosemary crostini rustic crackers (or favorite crackers)
- Rosemary marcona almonds
- Cured meats
Grand Cru Cheese
Grand Cru is their signature Alpine-style cheese, made with the freshest milk, in imported copper vats and aged 4+ months in their cellars.
The flavors are nutty, slightly floral and mellow, a one-of-a-kind cheese that also melts beautifully (think mac & cheese).
What to pair with Grand Cru
Since the Grand Cru has light floral notes, we paired it on the cheese board with pears, apples, and figs.
Check out the packaging
Roth Cheese has serving and pairing ideas on each label, helping you be a better cheese buyer and consumer.
I love how it gives three simple tips!
Tips to make the perfect board
- How many people are you serving? We recommend budgeting for 4oz per person
- What cheese are you featuring? I always love to have one or two varieties. Leave the packaging on until right before serving. Guests can take a peek at the packaging, etc. I’m a visual person, so I really like to see this.
- What pairs with these cheeses? Do your research for each variety. With Roth Cheese, they include serving and pairing ideas on each label, helping you be a better cheese buyer and consumer. Buy your cheese, HERE.
- Make sure you serve sturdy crackers. There’s nothing worse than a cracker that breaks and is too thin. Also, a baguette loaf is a nice addition to a charcuterie board, if you don’t want to serve crackers. Or, serve both.
- Chocolate also pairs very well with cheese and fruit!
- Place the cheese on the board first, and start building around it.
Of course, fall is in the air, so ENJOY the best charcuterie board with your loved ones, neighbors, and friends. Also, stretch yourself a bit and invite someone new!
This is the best kind of hospitality and everyone loves a good cheese board!
